About Us

The Development Centre is a part of CfBT and is based in Brighton, working in partnership with organisations, training providers and employers involved in adult learning, assisting the implementation of the Skills for Life Strategy at a local and regional level.

With 40 years' experience of delivering education services worldwide CfBT Education Trust exists solely to provide education for public benefit. CfBT staff support educational reform, teach, advise, research and train.

CfBT believes in lifelong learning as a means to helping create opportunities in life for individuals and communities. We support this belief in many areas of our work but most importantly through our contracts which deliver the Government's Skills for Life strategy to raise the quality of teaching and learning in adult literacy, numeracy and language (ESOL) provision.
