"A challenge for all of us working in Skills for Life is finding the time to keep abreast of the many national, regional and local initiatives which make Skills for Life such an exciting area. Trawling through websites to find a particular article or report, get details of conferences, or catch up with what is happening in tutor training, is a luxury few of us can afford, even though the information is important to us. Since the website has been available, it is my first option every time. Whether I am delivering tutor training, talking to my own staff, or seeking something for myself, my first suggestion for information is the Network because I know that the information will be available, current and accessible. The Network is a resource produced by professionals, for professionals, and as such points me and my staff to the information we need to continue to develop a well-informed, quality service for our learners."
Chris Hopwood, Programme Manager for Skills for Life, Wakefield College

"I have found the Network invaluable in my role as the University of Teesside Programme Leader for Teacher Education - Adult Basic Skills. Receiving weekly, up to date information about local, regional and national activities and initiatives, without having to spend hours trawling the Internet, has helped the University, with support from its partner colleges, to respond quickly to the current training needs of practitioners in the field of adult basic skills education."
Sharon Powell, Senior Lecturer in Teaching Adult Basic Skills, University of Teesside

"A brilliant information dissemination vehicle!"
Kate Pahl, Course Director, Doctor of Education (EdD) Literacy and Language in Education, Sheffield University

"The website is brilliant for finding out about new qualifications and resources that are available. It's also great to be able to access support when I get stuck for ideas, and to know that if I email an enquiry someone will help me out."
Linda Seddon, Training Manager, CMS Vocational Training Services, Huddersfield
