About Us
Newcastle College School of Education leads "Success North" Centre for Excellence in Teacher Training (CETT) and is home to the Teaching Development Centre. The Centre offers a full range of teacher training programmes:
- PGCE and DTLLS (part-time and full-time)
- literacy, English and ESOL specialist programmes
- numeracy and maths teacher education
- teaching certificates with embedded functional skills
- BA and MA programmes in lifelong learning and professional development
- Part-time and intensive PTLLS (Preparing to Teach) programmes
We also run a broad range of regular professional development events for teachers, trainers and managers. The quality of our provision is widely recognised and we pride ourselves on the breadth and quality of our programmes:

We offer a range of professional development opportunities through Success North Centre for Excellence in Teacher Training. As one of the Teaching and Learning hubs for LSIS, we will also be offering advanced coaching events from October 2012 to March 2013.
