About Us
Crisis Skylight Newcastle is an education, training and employment centre for homeless and vulnerably-housed people. It is located in the heart of Newcastle.
Courses and services
Get creative
Our creative sessions include Sculpture and Crafternoon. CreatIve sessions such as Open Studio and sculpture give you the chance to exhibit your work professionally.
Get skills
Practical courses such as Bike Maintenance give you hands-on training that enable you to develop practical skills to use in your everyday life or for employment
Get qualifications
We have a wide range of ICT courses such as the internationally recognised ECDL and opportunities to develop your basic skills leading you up to taking national tests.
We also offer qualifications in art and design that enable you to stage exhibitions and display your work.
Get healthy
We offer a range of classes to help you get healthy.
Our Centre is open to clients at the following times:
- Monday- Wednesday 10 am- 7 pm
- Thursday and Friday 10am - 6pm
- Saturday - 12 pm to 5 pm
Next door, our Crisis Skylight Café provides training opportunities for homeless people. It is open to the public for delicious food and drinks from 8 am to 3 pm.
