About Us
Harrogate Skills 4 Living Centre is a dedicated adult learning facility located in the centre of Harrogate. We offer adults with learning difficulties the opportunity to learn through adult education classes, workshops, skills development and tuition in a range of subjects. We provide:
- adult day care
- continuing education
- transition support for young people leaving education
- leisure courses for people of all abilities
Courses and Services
People come to us from Harrogate, Ripon, York, Leeds, Knaresborough and surrounds to learn musical instruments, singing, dance, drama, literacy and numeracy and IT skills, pottery crafts and a whole lot more. A real learning environment in the community for every ability level.
New from September:
- E-learning: we supply a Dell Inspiron Laptop PC, a broadband hook up, online learning, webcam and microphone and IT support so you will be able to join us from the comfort of your own home for an IT session.
- Online Community shop: a chance to learn the skills of selling online or to join our team of buyers, scouring local suppliers and shops for re-sale items.
- Community Crafts Company: ever wanted to earn a profit from selling craft and art products you make? Here's your chance to learn to make beautiful things and receive a share of the profits - straight to your pocket or purse.
- Animal Care: Full day course providing opportunities to learn all about animal and pet care, visit pets on the farm, gain skills in handling, feeding and care skills, you could have the chance to acquire a qualification in animal care.
- Friendship Circle: Information, Advice and Guidance - come to the Harrogate Skills 4 Living Centre and have a coffee and a chat with friends, one of the team will be on hand for information or advice on any topic.
