ccConsultancy and partners have been commissioned by the Education and Training Foundation (ETF) to support maths and English Continuing Professional Development. ETF are funded by the DfE to support staff in the post-16 sector.
On offer is a range of engaging courses and webinars to support your personal skills and teaching approaches, and to help you and your organisation improve outcomes in maths and English. Functional Skills (maths and/or English): Preparing for the reformed qualifications
This one day course will help you prepare learners to undertake the new Functional Skills qualifications. You will explore and discuss key aspects of the Functional Skills Reforms, as well as being introduced to exemplar materials that promote effective teaching, learning and assessment practices for Functional Skills.
Developing learners' problem solving skills for Functional Skills maths
This one day course uses a range of topics and tasks from the exemplar Functional Skills resources to explore some key, transferable teaching approaches you can use to develop problem solving approaches across each Functional Skills Maths level.
Developing digital literacies, a specialist course for prison practitioners
This engaging and interactive one day course explores a range of approaches that can support you to develop learners' digital literacy skills in settings where access to digital tools may be restricted or prohibited.
Embedded support with English for ESOL learners
This course will prepare you to offer embedded support with English for ESOL learners. You will discuss some of the barriers ESOL learners may face during their vocational learning, exploring how you can support them to address these difficulties. You will also be introduced to a range of embedded English strategies to help build ESOL learners' confidence and develop their spoken and written English skills.
