This year ETF have changed focus and funded a further four projects to extend, enhance and embed AP roles within their organisation to develop the quality of education. Their final reports and case studies will be available on the Excellence Gateway in Spring 2020. The projects are:

Updates from the Myerscough and Bolton projects testify to much planning activity between the project leads over the summer while a range of new activity by APs and targeted CPD is all set to start this month. There is an emphasis on ‘extending, enhancing and embedding’ this time. And the letter ‘e’ gains even more importance when we add ‘evidence’ and, also, the fact that all projects are including a significant element of the new and far-reaching Education Inspection Framework (EIF). 

August has been dominated by Summer leave, but mentors are nevertheless working well with project leads and Sue, Joss and Colin have met to plan a face-to-face event with them. This event for leads will take place in Birmingham on 13th December and please note that we are inviting project leads to help shape the content of that day as we take every opportunity to respond quickly and effectively to AP needs. Myerscough College, for instance, will lead a session on how APs can support and realise the ambitions of the new EIF.
