Welcome to the Skills for Life Network e-news update.

We have a focus on reading in this edition of the update, with news items on World Book Day, Quick Reads and the BBC Read and Write campaign.

You'll see that LLUK are holding a series of dissemination events to provide up to date information about the progress of reforms relating to teacher education, including Skills for Life and 14-19. Find out more from the article below.

Jobs: you'll see that Sunderland City Council are recruiting for a Basic Skills Project Officer, and The Bridge Project in Washington have opportunities for Key Skills Tutors. The University of Sunderland are looking to recruit a Numeracy Teacher Trainer and Future Strategies of Wallsend are looking to recruit a suitably qualified Skills for Life Trainer/Tutor, primarily in Literacy.
