Welcome to a special update on professional development opportunities in the region
The QIA Skills for Life Improvement Programme is well under way now in the North East. If you haven't already looked at the training offer please do as there are a wide variety of courses available. Two are new courses that you may not have spotted:
'Contextualising the Pre-Entry Level Curriculum Framework' on the 14th March in Newcastle. This course is targeted at teachers who are working with learners with learning difficulties in non-vocationally based provision, e.g. Independent Living Skills, Cookery, Art and Craft.
'Embedding Access for All' on the 23rd March in Durham. This course will help you plan improvements to the experiences and achievements of learners with learning difficulties and disabilities.
Please visit the website www.sflip.org.uk for full details of these two courses and to find out about the wide range of activity that comes under the umbrella of the Skills for Life Improvement Programme.
