| Welcome to the Skills for Life Network E-News Update
As you will no doubt be aware, the Skills for Life qualifications are approved for use until 2010, and a decision needs to be made on what qualification provision there should be after then. The Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (QCA) is currently undertaking an evaluation of the current Skills for Life qualifications, and there is now an online survey available for you to complete. See the article below to access the survey and have your say!
Other points of note: you'll see we have an update on Functional Skills from the Department for Innovation, Universities and Skills (DIUS) and news of the latest Get On campaign.
Finally, if you're based in the Yorkshire and the Humber region, do check out the Training Directory at www.pdnet.org.uk. You'll find current information on Skills for Life teacher training and professional development programmes in the region, including an update on ESOL Teacher Training programmes at Kirklees College.
Happy surfing!
