Welcome to the Skills for Life Network E-News Update

You'll see that the Government has now launched its strategy for skills, which includes a commitment to 'fully funding basic skills courses for individuals who left school without basic reading, writing and mathematics', and a focus on increasing the number of adult apprenticeships. Find out more below.

The Ofsted Annual Report has been published - you can find more details and download the report via the attached article. Key findings include: 'Science and mathematics was one of the least positively judged sector subject areas in colleges inspected this year', and 'the large majority of teaching offered by adult and community learning providers inspected this year is good'.
