Adult Education Budget 2018/2019 increased flexibility for learners in receipt of low wage
A new trial will enable AEB providers to fully fund learners who are employed and in receipt of a low wage and cannot contribute towards the cost of co-funding fees.

Advanced Practitioner Communities of Practice
You are invited to apply for one of 50 fully subsidised places on the Communities of Practice strand of a new CPD offer from the Education and Training Foundation. Whether you're already practising as an Advanced Practitioner or are just starting out in this role, this programme will enable you to join a growing movement of like-minded professionals.

Basic maths Centres for Excellence
The Department for Education is inviting institutions to apply to become Centres for Excellence for basic maths. The programme will provide grant funding to build teaching capacity and spread best practice on what works to improve basic maths for learners over the age of 16 with low prior attainment.

Education and Employment Strategy for adult prisoners
The Government has launched a new Education and Employment strategy which sets out new measures to boost prisoners' skills while in custody and improve their chances of securing work on release.

Integrated Communities Strategy consultation
This green paper invites views on the government's vision for building strong integrated communities, and actions proposed to deliver this. The document includes a chapter dedicated to Boosting English Language. Find out more about the consultation and how you can contribute.
