These 10-week online courses have been designed to develop your skills, and provide solutions to address concerns around progress in post-16 maths and English attainment.

  • Teaching Maths Functional Skills will equip you with the skills needed to be effective functional skills maths teachers. We’ll show you how to contextualise and apply maths to vocational learning to develop learners’ problem solving and decision-making skills.

  • Teaching English Functional Skills will support practitioners working with functional skills English learners. You’ll learn how to use active approaches to develop learners’ skills in speaking, listening and communicating, and reading and writing. We’ll show you how to contextualise and apply English to vocational learning and meaningful everyday situations.

The Level 5 courses are £350 per person, with discounts available for onsite group bookings.
