Our final AP Conference

Friday 29th March 2019, Birmingham

project people

Demand for this event has been considerable, and it was fully booked within 24 hours of going live. We know we have been unable to accommodate all colleagues and we recommend you add your details to the waiting list. We will share presentations alongside recordings and visuals from the artists who will be working on the day to capture key messages.

The conference will offer an insight into how a range of cross-sector partnerships and organisations have deployed those working in AP-type roles in creating positive change within their respective institutions. The overarching aim of the funded collaborative projects was to evaluate the validity of the AP role, and associated values, as derived from research Tyler et al (2017) commissioned by the Foundation.

The projects demonstrate a diverse spread of current and relevant issues and topics tackled by our Advanced Practitioners. We will also be sharing some of the quality improvement projects carried out by APs who were not part of the Collaborative Projects Strand but attended the 3-day CPD programme. Workshop topics range from:

  • Using video observations to support reflective practice
  • ‘Open Door’ approaches to sharing and reviewing professional practice
  • Triangles of Excellence
  • Can coaching-in-action accelerate the progress teachers make in the classroom?
  • Champions in maths and English
  • Learning Walks
