Thinking about AP progression?

When you complete the ‘Developing Advanced Practitioners’ professional development programme, you may want to think about applying for Advanced Teacher Status (ATS) to gain national recognition of your mastery in teaching or training.

This year-long development programme involves completing an e-portfolio, providing evidence of improvements in your practice as well as the practice of others in your organisation through the sharing of your advanced skills and knowledge. There is more information about the ATS programme in the Education and Training Foundation’s leaflet here.

Applications are now being accepted for the fourth cohort of participants who will start their e-portfolios in March 2019.  Please check your eligibility for the programme here and how to apply here.

Please ensure your application reaches the Education and Training Foundation by 7 January.  If you have any queries, please e-mail
