AP Toolkit

Skills for Life Network

You can now download the first part of the AP Toolkit from the Excellence Gateway, and all the resources from the CPD are available to you on a Padlet.

ToolkitWe’re delighted to announce that the first part of the AP Toolkit is now available for you to download from the Excellence Gateway. You may like to have the Toolkit reproduced by your reprographic department, so that each of your APs has their own copy and so you also have copies available to support professional development and training with your teams.

In case it’s helpful, the specification Alison used when we printed the cards at the local printers is: 23 cards (double-sided), A5 Print on 250gsm card.

Slides and resources from the CPD

We know many of you are planning CPD for your APs and are keen to use some of the content from the residentials. Sam Shepherd from Kirklees has already stolen the ‘postcards’ for an ESOL workshop he is running! Sam, do tweet and let us know how you get on. If anyone else has tried out approaches from the CPD, please do tweet using #APConnect. You may wish to write a short piece for the next Communications in September? You can find all the slides, handouts and resources we used on day 1 & day 2 pinned on this Padlet. Don’t forget to scroll down!

Next phase of the AP Toolkit

Following your valuable feedback on what should go into the next stage of the AP Toolkit, we’re thrilled to tell you that the team will be busy over the Summer producing four e-books. Working titles are as follows:

  • Creating Spaces to Think in Further Education and Training – Lou Mycroft
  • Facilitating Professional Development and High-Performance through Situated Learning – Ian Grayling
  • Using Coaching to Support Colleagues – Jon Thedham
  • Developing the Coaching Culture to Drive Quality Improvements – Jon Thedham

We’ll have more information for you in #APConnect Communications 2 in September.
