Spotlight: New Tutor

Skills for Life Network

Getting involved in #StudyGood has been a great opportunity for us here at touchconsulting ltd to expand the pool of tutors we’re working with. Lynne Taylerson is far from being a ‘new’ tutor (that sounds wrong so no offence Lynne!) and she is known and respected nationally for her engaging, groundbreaking approaches to teaching digital. We were delighted when she said yes to joining us! Here, Lynne talks about what she’s hoping to bring to #StudyGood.

“I’m absolutely delighted to have joined the #StudyGood facilitators – it’s super to be working with such a motivated and generous team. I think that the programme is such a timely initiative which is chiming with a lot of other work that I do.

I’m currently just completing my PhD in Education and my research has a really strong focus on how important Social Purpose Education is for FE teachers and how this significance links to active community involvement and shared community values.

In working life, I am Digital Lead for the ETF/DfE T Levels English, maths and digital support programme (TPLD) through Claire Collins Consultancy. A key focus of this programme is how we can give T Level learners genuine, authentic workplace experiences and assessments. Obviously this involves working very closely with employers to co-design the curriculum so the #StudyGood modules are right on point as far as the needs of the FE sector and its learners and teachers go. I’m really looking forward to facilitating my first module at the end of December!”.
