The Basic Skills Quality Initiative (BSQI) was delivered on behalf of the Learning and Skills Council by the Association of Colleges, and funded by the Quality and Standards Directorate, between 2000 and 2003.

The BSQI CPD p[rogramme and offered residential training and development for senior managers of providers of literacy, numeracy and language provision.
