Consultation paper on proposals to have a single inspectorate for children and learners
“The Government has published a consultation paper setting out its proposals to extend Ofsted’s remit to become the single inspectorate for children and learners. The paper envisages that Ofsted would assume responsibility for the children’s work of the Commission for Social Care Inspection (CSCI); the inspection of services provided by the Children and Family Court Advisory and Support Service (CAFCASS). The consultation paper also asks for views on whether the work currently undertaken by the Adult Learning Inspectorate (ALI) should move across to Ofsted.”
