Funds are available to help Skills for Life teachers complete their teaching qualifications.
Employers or teacher education course leaders can apply on behalf of:
- Teachers who need to finish stand-alone Level 4 subject qualifications, for up to £1,850
- Trainee teachers on integrated subject-specific initial teacher education programmes, for up to £3,600
Priority will be given to those who work in isolation from other Skills for Life colleagues, e.g. in work-based, union or workplace learning, offender learning, voluntary or community provision, Jobcentre Plus training.

The Qualification Support Fund is part of ‘Creative routes to qualified status’, a joint offer from the Skills for Life Improvement Programme and LLUK’s Flexible entry routes project. It is administered by the National Research and Development Centre for adult literacy and numeracy (NRDC).
