QIA is commissioning a number of new programmes to help raise quality and boost learner achievement in Skills for Life
The programmes will include:
- a Skills for Life personalisation and learner persistence project
- a review of the Skills for Life curriculum, including work on the pre-entry curriculum framework
- a project to improve teaching and learning for learners with learning difficulties and disabilities
- further development of the whole-organisation approach
- development and evaluation of assessment materials
- mainstreaming of ‘Move On’, ‘Move Up’ and ‘Test the Town’ approaches
- managing Skills for Life publications and resources relating to quality and teaching
Programmes currently available include:
- Skills for Life Quality Initiative
- Roll-out of dyslexia training, phase three
- Skills for Life Whole Organisation Approach project, phase one
