ESOL with Digital Skills Programme
‘This project is for an ESOL with Digital Skills Programme to be delivered as part of Adult Learning Service in Merton. The procurement of the new contract will enable residents in the borough to be provided with courses of English for speakers of other Languages with different levels from Pre-entry to Level 1 working in the community with those hardest to reach and removed from learning. Within these courses we expect to see an enhancement of digital, maths and employability skills, as well as an engagement of learners with programmes of citizenship, safeguarding, Health and Wellbeing.’

OTLA phase 8: action research for English, ESOL and Essential Digital Skills teachers in the FE sector
The Education and Training Foundation are seeking a delivery partner who will be able deliver two strands of activity making up this requirement:
- The development and delivery of a national programme of CPD to enable English, English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) and Essential Digital Skills (EDS) teachers to undertake collaborative action research projects.
- The design and pilot of two FutureLearn courses: one on how to conduct action research in Further Education and one on how to lead or support research projects in Further Education settings.
