Downloadable embedded numeracy resources for use in a construction context
These downloadable materials focus on embedding numeracy in construction training, and cover a range of the adult numeracy core curriculum targets from Entry 2 to Level 2.
The materials have a sub-theme of ‘water’ aimed at highlighting common problems and misconceptions regarding capacity, of particular relevance to plumbing students.
The Excel spreadsheet ‘Choosing the best supplier’ also integrates IT into the package. Students could, if they wish, input their own data here.
The materials were devised in 2006 by practitioners from Leeds College of Building.
