Artificial Intelligence tools for teachers

The Government is investing up to £2m to ensure that all teachers in England will benefit from new tools and resources powered by Artificial Intelligence (AI) that will help them plan lessons and reduce their workloads.

The investment will allow Oak National Academy, established to support teachers with curriculum resources online, to create new teaching tools using AI. It is hoped that this will be the first step towards providing every teacher with a personalised AI lesson-planning assistant.

The resources will be available on Open Government Licence, and the project will also provide access to Oak’s curriculum resources for edtech companies experimenting with AI to enable them to build from this content.
