Questions and responses drawn from recent forums organised by Standards Verification UK

Standards Verification UK (SVUK) organised three half-day forums in March 2006, one for awarding bodies and two for HEIs, to update awarding institutions on the reforms in initial teacher training for the learning and skills sector. The objectives of the forums were to share the latest information on the strands of work for the Equipping our Teachers reforms, and to consider the impact of these reforms on the design of qualifications to be offered to new teachers, tutors and trainers post-September 2007.

In Downloads you will find the frequently asked questions asked at these events and the responses from SVUK. The questions include:

‘What is the future for the current Level 4 Subject Specification qualifications?’

and

‘What is the latest position regarding the Skills for Life recognition scheme?’
