Digital Teaching Professional Framework

The Education and Training Foundation has launched the Digital Teaching Professional Framework designed to help the Further Education and Training workforce to become confident and effective users of technology in teaching and learning.

Five categories of essential digital skills for life and work: see the newly published Essential Digital Skills framework, which will form the basis for revised digital skills qualifications, including Functional Skills ICT.

Redbridge Institute

We are a successful local adult education service in the London Borough of Redbridge recruiting almost 5000 adult part-time learners annually to a wide variety of programmes including Skills for Life, business, ICT, childcare, education, languages, art and crafts, and health and wellbeing.

Digital literacy funding for adults

The Government has announced it will fully fund IT courses for adults so that digital literacy is put on a similar level to English and Maths. The programme will be funded from the existing £1.5 billion annual Adult Education Budget.
