These contextualised resources will help your functional skills English learners to develop a range of skills, including working out vocabulary from context, distinguishing fact from opinion and using punctuation.

The resources include texts, video and images.

There is a PowerPoint presentation which is aimed at Levels 1 and 2, but could also be used or adapted to introduce the topic to Entry Level learners.

The final slide provides guidance and a planning sheet for preparing a talk or presentation on food from other cultures or countries. This could be used as a standalone equality and diversity themed resource.
