National Family Learning Network is holding a conference, with help from the BBC Child of Our Time team

Explore the role of families in achieving better outcomes for children and creating a learning society.

 

‘On 2 March, the National Family Learning Network is holding a conference, with help from the BBC Child of Our Time team, building on the success of a similar event last year.

The aim is to link policy to practice and explore the role of families in achieving better outcomes for children and creating a learning society.

Speakers include Professor Robert Winston, presenter of Child of Our Time; Mary Crowley MBE, Chief Executive of Parenting UK; and Yvonne Covell of BBC Factual and Learning. Viv Bird of the National Literacy Trust will be leading a forum on helping parents support children’s language and literacy skills and share books together.

 

The conference will take place in London.
