Free events that aim to assist Literacy, Language and Numeracy Practitioners working with learners in the context of employment
The Fast Fact events aim to assist Literacy, Language and Numeracy Practitioners working with learners in the context of employment, to use the Fast Facts Series to develop activities to support literacy and numeracy skills in an occupational setting and to assist in developing activities and resources to support learners’ literacy and numeracy skills in the workplace.

A series of Fast Fact events will take place in Summer 2006. Places are free and are allocated on a first-come first-served basis.
- 13th June Birmingham
- 20th June Liverpool
- 29th June Leeds
- 3rd July London

The events start at 10am and end with lunch at 12.30pm.

Fast Facts are a series of pocket-sized booklets aimed to equip employees with the literacy and numeracy support for their jobs. Designed to fit into a top pocket, they are an ideal aid for people who are not desk based. The Fast Facts Series include:
Carpentry and Joinery; Electricians; Residential Care Assistants; Hospital Domestics; Plumbers; Residential Care; Nurses; Painting and Decorating; Station Staff and Trowel Trades.
