GCSE results 2025

The English and maths GCSE results 2025 both show a fall in the pass rate when compared to 2024.

The English language pass rate fell from 61.6 per cent to 59.7 per cent. In maths, it fell from 59.6 per cent to 58.2 per cent. The falls in the pass rates have been attributed to an increase in the number of learners resitting rather than a drop in performacne across any particular age group.
