Increase your vocabulary and give free rice!

Resources , Literacy
Skills for Life Network

Free Rice is an online word definition game – for each word you get right, 20 grains of rice are donated to the United Nations World Food Program.

Learners working towards Level 2 Literacy may want to give this one a go. You’re given a word and four possible defintions, e.g.

Maintenance means:

  • author
  • upkeep
  • street
  • occurrence

You then have to click on the answer that best defines the word. If you get it right, you get a harder word. If you get it wrong, you get an easier word.

For each word you get right, 20 grains of rice are donated to the United Nations World Food Program.
