"Effective numeracy teaching when built into practical training can make a real difference to young people and adults in their work and personal lives" – Tackling the challenge of low numeracy skills in young people and adults, Ofsted, April 2011
Want to develop a whole organisation approach to improve the quality of your numeracy provision? Need new strategies and resources that will help you develop your learners’ confidence and skills in using maths in vocational and real-life situations?
Building on the success of our highly popular numeracy events held in London, we are offering an additional set of dates in northern and central locations. Over 50 people came to the 2 London workshops in June 2011 from a range of organisations: FE Colleges; Universities; work based learning and adult community learning providers.
"Engaging, interactive, fantastic resources and exceptional speaker"
"It was very practical, straight to the point, lots of examples given"
"The comprehensive resources/activities that can be used to build differentiated sessions at differentiated levels were great. The memory stick is an invaluable asset to the day!"
The workshops were highly successful with 100% of delegates rating the session as good or excellent.
"A very skilled trainer with up to date knowledge, excellent understanding of mathematics and an inclusive way of delivering the activities to challenge and yet put people at ease too"
