The Education and Skills Funding Agency has set out amendments to the condition of funding for maths and English.

From academic year 2019 to 2020, full time students with a grade 2 or below in maths or English can choose to study towards functional skills level 2 or a GCSE grade 9 to 4. This also applies to part time students who have a grade 3 or grade D GCSE.
