Launch of the BBC’s biggest ever adult literacy campaign

RaW – Reading and Writing; Read more and write better with the BBC

“From October 2005, the BBC is launching RaW, its biggest ever adult literacy campaign – a fresh, entertainment-led drive to engage people’s passions and interests. RaW is aimed at intermediate readers in the UK between 25 and 54. Over a three to five-year period, the purpose is not just to improve basic skills but to create a fun and interactive space to learn based around the everyday, practical experiences of adult learners.

Created around BBC programmes and talent, RaW will build a legacy that will extend well beyond the life of the campaign. To find out more on ways that you (and/or your organisation) could collaborate and to receive regular news updates on RaW now, please sign up to the newsletter by http://www.bbc.co.uk/raw/newsletter.shtml.”
