PD North is the home of the Northern Professional Exchange, a project managed by ccConsultancy on behalf of the Education and Training Foundation.
Professional Exchanges are regional hubs that enable teachers and middle managers to share their knowledge and skills. Supported by the Education and Training Foundation, there are currently over 2500 members of the Exchanges nationally.
Why join PD North?
Joining PD North will enable you to share and develop your practice within your subject specialist area. You’ll meet with subject specialists from your own and other organisations. We currently have 13 exchanges all around the North of England:
North West: Maths, English, Teaching, Learning & Assessment (TLA)
Yorkshire & Humberside: Maths, English, Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
North East & Cumbria: Data, Apprenticeships, Early Years, Digital, Health & Social Care, Prevent & Safeguarding
We also have a virtual exchange accessible by those in the north and beyond, focusing on Practitioner Action Research.
What’s involved?
You’ll meet at least two times over the year with your exchange group. Between those meetings, you’ll be encouraged to keep the conversation going on an online platform chosen by your group e.g. Zoom, Edmodo, Whatsapp, Padlet etc. You’ll have ongoing support from your Regional Lead and the PD North team.
