Skills for Life Network

Money off vouchers and twelve new Quick Reads titles

Quick Reads is a series of short, fast-paced new books designed to encourage adult reluctant readers to get hooked on books. Twelve new titles were published on the 18th of May.

Quick Reads cost £2.99 each. You can order a supply of £1-off Quick Reads book tokens for your learners and readers so that they can buy any Quick Reads book for £1.99 (from 2 March-31 December 2006). Publicity material – posters, leaflets, bookmarks, stationery and more – is also available. Find out more from the Quick Reads website.

There is also a set of learning resources designed by The Vital Link programme of The Reading Agency to accompany ten of the new Quick Reads titles. You will find full details on the Quick Reads website. You are advised to look first at the file ‘Further Approaches to Reading for Pleasure’ for guidance on the books and the themed learning resources that accompany them.
