‘The Maths4Life project is pleased and excited to announce the launch of its resource pack Thinking Through Mathematics: Strategies for teaching and learning. It will be officially launched at the Maths4Life national conference in London on 26th February, and the Thinking Through Mathematics team will then visit each of the regions during March to introduce the resource more widely.
Thinking Through Mathematics is a continuation of the work begun by the DfES Standards Unit whose Improving Learning in Mathematics framework was produced in 2005. The Maths4Life resource pack contains sessions appropriate to Entry and Level 1 learners.
You are invited to attend one of the nine regional events at which delegates will receive a free copy of this pack, containing over 500 pages of professional development and teaching sessions, together with a DVD showing them in action. The event, which is free of charge, will focus on introducing you to the approaches which are at the heart of these sessions, and examine some of the materials in detail.’
The events are being held in March. For full details and to book a place, visit the Maths4Life website.
