Writing Sentences - the family tree

The Writing Sentences worksheet, which is available to download from the Skills Workshop website, uses the idea of a family tree to help learners develop their sentence writing and punctuation skills.

The activities help reinforce sentence structure and basic punctuation, and also introduce key family words such as cousin, grandmother, nephew for ESOL learners.

The worksheet is accompanied by sample answers, and detailed mapping to the functional skills subject content elements and the ESOL core curriculum.
