Teacher Education Reform: Roadmap and Key Milestones

Skills for Life Network

LLUK

Lifelong Learning UK (LLUK) has published a ‘roadmap’ of activity to help the Further Education (FE) sector in England prepare for the implementation of new teaching qualifications and the introduction of ‘Qualified Teaching Learning and Skills’ (QTLS) status in September this year.

The roadmap outlines what will happen and includes anticipated dates for the publication of specific and technical guidance ahead of the reform’s introduction. It has been published on behalf of DfES and is designed to ensure employers, providers and learners within the FE sector are fully aware of the implications of the reform and the preparations they need to make in advance of it.

It has also been designed to act as portal to existing support materials on the implementation of the reforms.
