A brief review of Skills for Life teacher training information available on the web
The Lifelong Learning UK (LLUK) website has a comprehensive Skills for Life FAQ section. Questions range from ‘What is Skills for Life?’ and ‘What is the Skills for Life Strategy’ to ‘I want to be an adult ESOL teacher. What qualifications do I need?’ and ‘Where can I find an up to date list of approved courses?’.

Course information
A list of approved courses can be found on the LLUK site. The Learning and Skills Council Skills for Life Quality Initiative website has a Course Finder.
There are also regional SfLQI sites with links through to key contacts and regional professional development websites. You’ll find that the the North East and the Yorkshire and the Humber SfLQI sites display information from the respective Regional Training Directories at www.getonnortheast.org.uk and www.skillsforlifenetwork.com.
The North West Professional Development Project website has information on courses on offer across the North West. The ACER website has an ‘Available Training” section for the East of England region.
