Skills Connect courses
West Yorkshire Combined Authority is seeking to contract with multiple providers to deliver Skills Connect courses to upskill individuals, with course delivery up to 30th September 2024. The aim of Skills Connect is to support individuals into new roles, new or enhanced self-employment opportunities, or take on additional responsibilities in their existing role, and providers will be paid based on evidence of participant starts, completions and progressions.

Provision of the Delivery of The Future Skills Development Programme
Chesterfield Borough Council is seeking applications for projects to be delivered under the Future Skills Development Fund between 1 April 2024 and 31st March 2025. The Future Skills Development Fund seeks to provide funding for up to four projects in Chesterfield that provide innovative approaches to addressing local skills gaps and increasing capacity within local skills provision, particularly in the areas of digital, STEM and green skills provision.

DfE Skills Bootcamps
The Department for Education invite suppliers who are interested in delivering Skills Bootcamps in the skills categories below to apply to qualify onto the Skills Bootcamps Dynamic Purchasing System. While unconfirmed, suppliers should be aware there is a possibility of further call off competitions this year (earliest July) and only suppliers who are qualified onto the Dynamic Purchasing System at that point would be able to apply.

Employability, adult skills, community learning & careers guidance
Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council are tendering for a range of projects supported by the European Social Fund and ERDF European Regional Development Fund. Projects will help to deliver employability support (age 16+), adult skills and community learning and offer support to employed individuals who wish to progress in work, move into new sectors or are at risk of redundancy, along with supporting Careers Information Advice and Guidance to all age groups. This will also include Consultancy services required to facilitate the delivery of the above requirements.

The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) intends to establish a Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) to procure Work Focused Activities in Jobcentre Plus Districts in England, Scotland and Wales.

The Delivery Partners Dynamic Purchasing System (DPDPS) is currently open until May 2026. Current contracts are with a range of commissioners including but not limited to DWP, ESFA and HMPPS. The Borough Council of Gateshead are an Apprenticeship Levy paying organisations. The Council is establishing a pseudo-DPS to establish a framework of approved providers of apprenticeship training.

Adult Learning and Skills Activities in Community Settings – Sheffield City Council
Sheffield City Council’s grant for the 19+ Adult Education Budget (AEB) for both formula funded and non-formula funding will fund learning for Adults 19+ who live in South Yorkshire, so that they can improve their skills, get back to work or remain and progress in work. The Council is now inviting suppliers to apply to their Dynamic Purchasing Service.

The Ministry of Justice (the “Authority”) is seeking to establish the Prison Education Dynamic Purchasing System (PEDPS) for the provision of education, Information, Advice and Guidance and resettlement services to those in custody in England.
