Digital Apprentice Pilot Scheme

Health Education England is looking to tender for the delivery of initiatives to design and deliver a regional 1 year pilot, which will create a recruitment model for getting learners into digital apprentice roles within the health and care sector.

Provision of Employment and Health Related Services 

The Department for Work and Pensions has issued a tender relating to the government’s Plan for Jobs, which aims to support job creation and skills development in response to the situation arising from the Covid-19 pandemic. Services required include job search, careers guidance and education and training.

Quality Framework, Functional Skills Provision

On behalf of North West employers and learners, Health Education England are creating a Quality Framework for the provision of Functional Skills training and exams. Those who are successful at getting onto the framework will be included in / added to a digital platform (yet to be designed) that will be developed for use by Health and Social Care organisations, staff and prospective staff / learners to search for and find appropriate Functional Skills and Exam provision which is suitable to their needs.

Digital and Technical Skills Training

The Department for Education is tendering for groups of employers, providers and local authorities to deliver a new training model for sectors where there is a skill shortage. This programme of work is part of the national retraining scheme. There are three contracts available, focusing on the digital sector initially; one in each local enterprise partnership area of Leeds City Region, Heart of the South West and Derby, Derbyshire, Nottingham and Nottinghamshire.
