DfE Employer Led Training Initiatives – Digital and Technical Skills Bootcamps

The DfE is holding a market engagement events on the morning and afternoon of 16th December to discuss their plans to roll out Wave 2 of the Digital and Technical training bootcamps as part of the National Skills Fund Employer led training initiatives (aka Skills bootcamps) across England from April 2021.

Functional Skills Diagnostic and Upskilling Software

Health Education England is looking to procure software to support the study of maths, English and digital skills (aka functional skills) which they will then contract out to NHS employers on a case by case basis. Based on current projections, they envision that they will establish contracts with around 100 large-scale employers i.e. NHS Trusts, where there will be cohorts of learners varying in size from 20 to 2,000.

The Growth Company ESF-AEB Provider Framework

The Growth Company is inviting tender responses to join their European Social Fund (ESF) and Adult Education Budget (AEB) Provider Framework. This framework will cover future opportunities around their current Prime ESF and AEB contracts across The North West and South Yorkshire, and will be for providers of Skills Support, Employee Support in Skills and Supporting those Not in Employment, Education or Training (NEET) and Adult Education Budget. There are also two new potential contract areas: South Yorkshire and West Yorkshire (AEB).
