This community project is offering you a chance to help to produce ‘green’ energy thereby reducing carbon emissions, to produce a regular income to finance continuing carbon reducing projects and give you a return on your investment.
You have until the 18th September to buy shares in Whitby Esk Energy.
Applications are now coming in from round the country for a share issue of £320,000 in Esk Energy (Yorkshire) Limited to fund the Whitby Esk Energy project. The funds raised by the share issue will be used to install a 50kw hydroelectric turbine, using a ‘fish friendly’ Archimedes screw, on the River Esk near Whitby.
