Choose your favourite word of 2005 and you (or your learners!) could win a digital camera and a copy of the new Macmillan Words of the Year Book

To enter the Word of the Year Competition, all you have to do is pick your favourite word of 2005 and write a brief description of why you have chosen it.

Then, simply email your entry to macmillandictionary@macmillan.com by 31st January, 2005 and wait to see if the panel of judges agreed with your choice!

You can suggest new words for 2006 by logging onto the Macmillan English Dictionaries website.
