About

Stacey Salt is an Adult Education Tutor working at the Cooperative College, Manchester. Together with her colleague Eve Sheppard, Stacey produces the Let’s Get Digital FE podcast, which is all about blended and online learning.

Stacey collaborates with several external communities in the FE sector including AP Connect, Joy FE and the Greater Manchester College Group Network. Stacey enjoys writing and blogging about her teaching and development work in order to share good practice across the sector. In the last 12 months Stacey has contributed to the Joy FE movementand has spoken at several events including the OER Conference, the Working Class Academics Conference and AP Constellations. She has also supported trainee teachers up and down the country.

Stacey says: “FE is a mutual learning ground. Whether you are a student or a member of staff, passion holds the sector together. I love working within this area of education, due to the diverse nature and opportunities which are available if you go out and look for them. I am extremely passionate about teaching and learning, as well as professional development, organisational culture, values based practice and digital and blended learning. One of my favourite thoughts about FE is that it does not just exist in one place, one building, one town…it is all around us. Let’s keep building these communities.”

Stacey is continuing work on the podcast, blogging and completing a Masters in Education at the University of Huddersfield. She is hoping to introduce subject specific communities to develop signature pedagogies.
