This report from National Numeracy explains what numeracy is, how it ‘hides’ behind maths, and how we can all help to make the UK numerate.

National Numeracy is an independent charity established in 2012 to help raise low levels of numeracy among both adults and children and to promote the importance of everyday maths skills. It aims to identify the numeracy skills everybody needs on a daily basis and to provide effective, accessible and scalable tools for people to use.
