This booklet provides an engaging overview of the 13 Outstanding Teaching, Learning and Assessment projects undertaken by over 200 practitioners from 42 providers across the North East and Cumbria in 2017.
The North East and Cumbria OTLA, funded by The Education and Training Foundation and managed by a consortium led by Success North, has enabled groups of providers to access collaborative development grants to investigate and develop teaching, learning and assessment approaches for the benefit of learners.
The collaborative partnerships were drawn from different sectors, including FE, work based learning, offender learning and community settings. In the booklet you’ll find an outline and a summary of the achievements of each of the 13 projects. Project themes include supporting maths and English learners and improving learner outcomes in GCSE maths.
Phase 3 of the OTLA programme was the first to support providers in the North-East, Cumbria and South Central areas of England. Projects in previous phases had taken place in London, Essex and Kent, the East Midlands, Yorkshire and the Humber and the South West.
